Referrals
Holmes & King also handles client referrals from other law firms, accounting firm and other professional and business firms, in either litigation or corporate/commercial matters.
Some referrals arise because of geography – another firm is located elsewhere in North America, Europe or Asia and wishes to have their clients represented in British Columbia. Some referrals arise locally when, for example, a law firm either does not practice in an area in which their client needs legal services or the firm would face a real or potential conflict of interest in acting on a particular matter for a regular client.
In certain cases, Holmes & King is asked to provide a review, advice or a second opinion on an issue. In others, we are asked to act as agent, co-counsel or to take on representation of a client in a legal proceeding or a transaction.
Because Holmes & King has the expertise to handle complex and major litigation matters as well as large corporate and commercial matters, we are able to take referrals in all these cases.
